SUICIDE
The impacts of suspected suicide can be extremely traumatic and stressful for families, friends, colleagues, professionals, responders and the whole community.
The Bridgetown-Greenbushes Suicide Prevention Network (affectionately known as the Bee Gees) is a committed group of local volunteers, mental health professionals, community representatives and the local Shire working together to build capacity in the Bridgetown-Greenbushes region to respond to the needs of people in distress through increased education and training, improved local service awareness and access, and greater mental health promotion throughout our community. A community led Safe Space operates from Henri’s Wellbeing Centre every Sunday from 12 noon to 3pm. A warm welcoming environment is offered to connect with others who have their own lived experience of suicidal crisis.
The South West StandBy service supports anyone who has been breaved or impacted by suicide at any stage in their life. Support is available 24 hours a day, seven days per week. Contact 1300 727 247
FAMILY SUPPORT
Blackwood Youth Action support marginalised and at-risk youth in the Blackwood Valley region. They provide early intervention support services for young people aged 12 to 25 who are at risk of mental health problems.
