DENIAL

This session will help you see the reality of what is happening in your life.

We can be in denial about anything that make us vulnerable or threatens our sense of control.

Denial is a coping mechanism that gives us time to adjust to distressing situations but it can also be unhealthy.  To help make change in our life, we need to learn to move past it.

ANXIETY

THE FAMILY

Our families are the most influential group in our education and socialisation.  The family is a system with each member impacting on other members.

This session will help you become aware of your role in the family and when there is need for change.  It will help you become aware of healthy communication patterns to bring about positive change.

TRAUMA

ADDICTION

This session will help you become aware that addictions are not just about using substances. Addictions are a dependency, craving, habit, compulsion, fixation, devotion or dedication to a particular substance or activity, even when bad side effects kick in and you feel like you’re losing control.   Addictions can be physical or psychological.  We will discuss how a person becomes addicted – this can be really helpful if you have a family member dealing with addiction, or if you are struggling with a dependency yourself.

HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS

LETTING GO

We all come to a point where there are some things holding us back.  We need to let go of these things to take the first step towards personal freedom.

This session helps us develop self-control.  When we learn to control our feelings, learn to accept others just as they are and learn clear thinking and proper actions, we become free and happy.

BELIEFS AND VALUES

BOUNDARIES

Boundaries are about setting limits and protecting ourselves.  We all have the right to our own safe space.

This session will help you focus on setting limits that align with your values.  Keeping healthy boundaries is being assertive about our needs and rights while respecting other’s needs and rights.

SELF RESPONSIBILITY

Do you feel responsible for everyone and everything, including other people’s happiness and well-being?

This session will help you recognise what areas of your life you can change, and to identify things or people that you can’t change. It will help you understand that we are in charge of our own feelings and behaviours and can individually change our lives for the better.

GRIEF AND LOSS

Loss is part of life and grief can be experienced on many occasions, not just related to death.

This session will help you understand the stages of the grief process, and to identify the losses you are grieving.

It will give you the tools to work towards acceptance of the loss and accept responsibility for yourself.

WELLBEING TOOLKIT

We all get upset at times – at ourselves, at others, or the world around us.  Upset feelings can take the form of depression, hopelessness, anxiety or guilt.

This session will help you understand that it is your attitudes and beliefs which causes your personal distress.  It  will provide the skills to manage upset feelings and thought processes to increase positivity and sense of control.
